Hi,
So I'd been recommended the "Master Li and Number Ten Ox" books by Barry Hughart, but they're kidna hard to come by. Not out of print, just not really in print. Anyway, I was pleased to discover that
drwex had a copy of Bridge of Birds, the first book in the series and further, that he was willing to let me read it.
He predicted it would be a fast, breezy read and he was quite correct. It was also an utterly charming book concerning the adventures of an ancient sage and simple peasant and I'm pleased to see that my reading material is trending upward. Highly recommended, although now the desire to play Weapons of the Gods is that much stronger.
