Hey,
So another turn of phrase I made up the other day and need to popularize:
Jams and spreads (but not jellies) are "fruit gravy".
Which means you can totally have buscuits and fruit gravy.
and it's delicious...

Date: 2012-08-30 08:28 pm (UTC)"Spread" is any kind of food that is typically spread on another kind of food. Butter, Fluff, Nutella are all spreads. I believe that what Tom means by "spread" in his context is any of the wide variety of fruit preserves that fit the spreadable description.
