Forging the Lexicon

Hey,

So another turn of phrase I made up the other day and need to popularize:

Jams and spreads (but not jellies) are "fruit gravy".

Which means you can totally have buscuits and fruit gravy.

and it's delicious...

Duh ... whassa difference between jam and jelly? And spread, for that matter?

Jam is made from whole fruit. Jelly is made from just the juice.

"Spread" is any kind of food that is typically spread on another kind of food. Butter, Fluff, Nutella are all spreads. I believe that what Tom means by "spread" in his context is any of the wide variety of fruit preserves that fit the spreadable description.

'FRUIT GRAVY!' is also a great thing to yell at random, just like 'SEMBAWANG!'
