Hey,

Last night I clipped through Cosmicomics by Italo Calvino. It was a slim volume of lightly connected short stories. Each story began with a short paragraph on some scientific fact (the speed of light, the formation of the solar system, the death of the dinosaurs) and then the story, narrated by an old man named Qfwfq who will vouch for the authenticity of the fact because he was there.

It was a fun little read, although I think I preferred his Invisible Cities a bit more.

Although I enjoyed "Cosmicomics," it's "Invisible Cities" that I return to on a regular basis. I love that book. Have you read "Castle of Crossed Destinies?"

It's not a long story, and I'm curious your take on it. I don't think I finished it (I often don't finish books-- yes, I know tht freaks some people out, sorry). I liked it less than "Cosmicomics," but other like it a lot. I also liked "Baron in the Trees," and a few of the shorts in "Love Stories," though not all of them.

BTW, Calvino is one of my all time favorite authors. :)
