That's pretty whacky, but really I'm sure you could find American childrens' stuff from 1978 that was equally whacky.

It's not really a challenge.

See, but I think this wasn't meant as a children's bit. I think it was aimed at adults and I think it's promoting the use of DDT to eliminate mosquitoes.
