I've tried listening to his podcast, but I have a hard time managing to listen with the level of concentration that requires for 20-30 minutes while I'm doing other things.

I have such a sincere hope that things have changed since the 80s when Dan and the rest of us were in High School. The hormonally challenged years are hard enough as it is, throwing bigotry on top of it is just adding insult to injury. I'm glad they spoke out. I hope their words fall on open ears.

I think the It Gets Better channel is really fantastic. I hope that it continues to grow and actually reaches its target audience. I think that's really the key; it doesn't matter who contributes a video, it's about who needs them and who finds them.
