Hey,

I really didn't pay much attention to all the iPad hype other than "huh, I'm not quite sure what I'd do with it". Today, one of my early-adopter co-workers brought one in.

I can't remember the last time I've had such terrifying techno-lust. Even the Kindle didn't jazz me the way that iPad does (and even I can see that the iPad's glossy screen will make for terrible reading in a lot of situations).

I'm pretty sure I'll resist the demons puling me towards the Apple store but man do I want one of these right now.

p.s. Also, seeing someone standing around holding one of these things you immediately think "Star Trek!".

It makes me think, "My God! That iPhone owner has shrunk!" But I've always had difficulty with scale-and-distance calculations...
