So over the weekend, I discovered I have a new crush:
This, is Pastor Melissa Scott:
As you might guess, she's a TV evangelist. I caught a bit of her show this past weekend. She's a total hottie. That huge whiteboard behind her? Yeah, she's got this huge spiel where she deconstructs the original Greek or Aramaic versions of the bible and uses them to make various points about salvation. So, a linguistic geek hottie who spews crazy to con the gullible faithful? I'm totally fanning myself here.
She was married to Dr. Gene Scott, who used to be the guy running the show but then he got cancer, refused any sort of therapy except for this special herbs and then, unsurprisingly, died. So now she's running the show.
Great, so Melissa Scott is this TV fundie and Tom has a thing for her, big whoop.
Ah, but it gets better. Pastor Scott has been married before. She used to be Melissa Pastore. Her husband, Paul J. Pastore ran a small independent studio and Melissa was featured in many (most) of the productions. Of course she used a stage name:
She was porn star Barbie Bridges.
Can I even begin to tell you how many ways this makes me happy? I cannot. The whole set-up is like a clockwork study in perverted perfection.
So yeah, new crush. Hooray!
