1.) The Gentlemen of the South Sandwiche Islands is a pretty decent game when you opponent is paying attention.

2.) Pit is an awesome game.

2a.) But my set has a bunch of "modern" commodities like platinum and coca -- BUT NO CORN -- EVEN THOUGH ALL THE EXAMPLES IN THE INSTRUCTIONS REFER TO CORN. As a Nebraskan, this cannot stand.

2b.) It's pointless to play with 2 people and is fun with more, but there's a point (after 6 people I think) where the game becomes too chaotic to play with any hope of a non-random win.

3.) Pandemic is a fun co-operative game. Too bad our first session ended in party loss BEFORE I EVEN HAD MY FIRST GO! Our second game also ended in failure but at least we cured one disease.

4.) I missed out on a chance to get the Jungle Speed expansion. :(

Hi,

So, I seem to have a fondness for odd people showing you how to do really simple things on youtube.

My gold standard is Steve Sutton showing you how to make iced tea (I posted about this once before but the original link died so here's a copy):

Now I've found another guy who's not quite as good as Sutton, but I like his down-home style:

He's got a lot of other slightly disjointed, but enthusiastic country recipes (I'm tempted to try the peach biscuits). He's got some rambling slice-of-Arkansas-life posts...

..and one about flattening forks:

Just fascinating...
