Things I learned at Gaming Weekend

1.) The Gentlemen of the South Sandwiche Islands is a pretty decent game when you opponent is paying attention.
2.) Pit is an awesome game.
2a.) But my set has a bunch of "modern" commodities like platinum and coca -- BUT NO CORN -- EVEN THOUGH ALL THE EXAMPLES IN THE INSTRUCTIONS REFER TO CORN. As a Nebraskan, this cannot stand.
2b.) It's pointless to play with 2 people and is fun with more, but there's a point (after 6 people I think) where the game becomes too chaotic to play with any hope of a non-random win.
3.) Pandemic is a fun co-operative game. Too bad our first session ended in party loss BEFORE I EVEN HAD MY FIRST GO! Our second game also ended in failure but at least we cured one disease.
4.) I missed out on a chance to get the Jungle Speed expansion. :(
