There's a third line, just for the Big Bad, on your sheet and as you get closer to figuring out what he's up to, the difficulty goes up (he gets paranoid about you snooping around).

Cripes, took me long enough to figure that out.

But that makes so many other things just fall into place. I think I've got a system. Now I just need to get everything down and put a playtest packet together.

Sir,

I realize we've got this Creed and that my loose interpretation of said Creed is why I'm schleping all over the Holy Land taking out guys left and right (that and the fact that you have scary level-draining/restoration powers I'm not about to mess with). I'm not arguing your wisdom in any of this.

So I'm not killing the innocent.

But I'd like to ask your Most Deadliness, if you'd be so kind as to allow me a blackjack, sap, sock full of coppers or something to render a person unconscious. Just as I'm sneaking up on a target some beggar woman, or drunkard or crazy man will get all up in my cowl and it's taking every ounce of my willpower not to gut them from sternum to crotch like a rainbow trout. These people are seriously interfering with my operations and, quite frankly, if they draw attention to me, accidentally get in the way of my killing blow, or hold up my expedited egress from the scene, they are quite likely to wind up hurt or killed through no particular fault of my own -- to say nothing of the fact that the mission may be irreparably compromised.

Quietly thwacking a few troublemakers and dragging them off to a secluded spot to sleep off their concussion seems to be a much more reasonable solution, so if you could just see your way clear towards allowing some suitable implement to handle that, I'd be grateful.

Sincerely,
Altair

p.s. Being allowed to throw a rock or other small item to distract guards wouldn't go amiss either.
p.p.s. Oh! And could I please be allowed to conduct missions at night? True, not so many people to blend in with, but it'd make hiding from trouble a lot easier and my targets are less likely to be moving around (or armed for that matter).
