Hi,

So after reading Little, Big it was suggested that I move on to the AEgypt quadrology (trilogy +1). However, the books came out on a very irregular schedule so while the last book came out earlier this year, the first three books were out of print (or nearly so). So it was nice to see that the sensible folks at The Overlook Press are republishing all 4 books over the next few months and the first of the AEgypt cycle is out and I've just finished the first.

The Solitudes by John Crowley is an especially good start to the series. It's a book that's about many things, but the center is Pierce Moffett, a rouge of a historian who has an idea to write a book about the real history behind the imagined history of the world. Along the way, other lives, past and present, real and fictitious interact with his in various ways.

It was a fun book and I'm looking forward to the next installment in the series (due out at the end of January).
