Hey,
So I went to a gaming convention and finished up reading Foccault's Pendulum. Got me all introspective at the end. The weird part is how dated that all seems now. It was written in the late 80's and described how a computer was used to manipulate and search out new patterns and connections in conspiracy theories. Now, with the web a reality and powerful computers all over the place, conspiracy theorists can do the exact same thing and probably have. The madness probably isn't any more widespread than it used to be, but now it's much more visible and forcefully presented.
It was a pretty fun read.
Anyway, next up on the list is Stormtroop Tactics -- an analysis of German Infantry tactics near the end of WWI. Should get some interesting looks reading through it on the exercise bike at the gym.
later
