Weekend ramblings...

Ugh.
Wiped out from Intercon and lack of sleep.
Had a pretty good time though.
Young Commandoes in Love went over extremely well. No one cried, no one threatened us with violence, most people claimed to have a good time. It's certainly worth doing again (with a few tweaks and a much bigger space). The nice thing is that the game is short and sweet and it could easily run in a mixed-game convention (where there's things other than LARPs running).
Saturday evening I was in my one and only game, Fete d'anniversaire D'Ogun (the Ogun's Birthday Party). This was the "Mardi Gras Voodoo Lwa Game". I was Papa Legbe. It was actually quite a bit of fun, mainly because it had the Nobilis-esque mechanics that said "You're the spirit of X, so you can do anything related to X". I really like those kinds of games. People really got into their stuff. I don't know as I actually got a whole lot done during the game, but I had fun.
After that, I hung out and socialized with people from the game, many of whom were new to Intercon and having a good time. I stayed up very late and didn't get much sleep.
On Sunday I had breakfast and, thanks to another attendee being a bit of an asshole, it was free. The breakfast was supposed to be free (the hotel gave us tickets), but the hotel restaurant wasn't clear on the terms. I didn't much care, but this other guy did, so my breakfast wound up being free. Huzzah for benefitting from other people's drama!
Also on Sunday, I went over for a belated birthday viewing of LOTR only to discover that I was late by a day, but I got to chat with old roomies for awhile and that was fun.
But the best part was getting to see Annie after a long weekend and snuggling with her.
