Hi,
So now that I finished creating planets, I'm going to try creating a person from each world. Here's the character from Apex. Since I think I'll use this set-up for a gaming convention one-shot, I'm providing both male/female names for the character and trying to be pronoun neutral.
Tobur/Vadoma
Growing Up: Life in an Apex station isn't all it's cracked up to be. The training is relentless. Hoping to advance Apex's technology and needing every member to be productive, there's never a moment's rest. Everything is an exercise or test designed to teach you something or measure your progress. You did well, good enough to escape being a lowly worker or technician but you didn't rise to the top.
Aspects:
* Relentless education
* No time for play
Growing Up: Testing didn't reveal any particular aptitude in a specific science so you were given a choice. You started out in math (that's where all the brightest go), but when you were doing some work on Slipstream Manifold Theory you saw some connections to station support systems and moved into engineering for awhile until you saw some useful biological implications and switched to that. You turned out to have a knack for synthesizing other people's work and combining diverse disciplines.
Aspects:
* Out-of-the-box thinking
* Scientific Dilettante
Crisis: You were on a research mission in Concordia studying the biosphere. Your reports home didn't generate much interest and you were on the verge of being recalled. Still convinced that there was more to learn, you blew off your recall notice and took an airship deep into Concordia. Several weeks into he trip, you were ambushed by a bunch of pirates bearing high-tech weapons of Eigen design. If it hadn't been for the ship's Bellweather guard, you would've been killed. As it was, only the two of you survived after a harrowing chance through the aerial jungles.
Aspects:
* Apex ex-pat
* My Bodyguard, my friend
Sidetracked: You eventually found yourself negotiating passage with this "Independent Contractor" from Eigen who had a ship. You played dumb about your Slipstream knowledge and passed yourself off as just a communications technician. The Captain had taken on this poor wretch from Fairhaven who was suffering from an acute case of Advanced Civilization Stress Disorder. You spent a few months helping them overcome their cognitive dissonance and learning more about Fairhaven.
Aspects:
* Playing Dumb
* The Socratic Method of Psychology
On your own: Life on-board the ship is never dull. Not only is there a lot to discover, there's also the...well, let's not say "illegal", but "high-risk" ventures the Captain indulges in. Right now, they're trying to run some scheme to help the people of Fairhaven overthrow their government (the Captain hates to think small). The Captain hopes that the sudden change of government will give them access rights to the planet and a chance to score a massive profit. You've been asked to come up with a way to quickly build simple radios using Fairhaven technology. Improved communications make central contorl that much harder. At least it's an interesting problem.
Aspects:
* "I've worked in the private sector -- they expect results."
* Information Revolutionary
Skills:
Level 5: Science
Level 4: Resolve, Communications
Level 3: Computer, EVA, Culture
Level 2: Agility, Alertness, Engineering, Repair
Level 1: Brawling, Survival, Stamina, Charm, Micro-G
Stunts:
Applied Science -- Use Science for Repair
Military Grade -- EW
I have a Science kit
Tracks:
Health: O O O
Composure: O O O O O
Wealth: O O O
