Hey,
So when you're reading a near-future sci-fi book and the guy uses a term like "kink spring" to refer to some sort of kinetic energy storage device you might think "hey, perhaps that some actual piece of, like, clockwork technology and it'd be fun to learn more about it". It can be disappointing when you discover that the term is, in fact, made up. However, searching on "kink spring" gets you a lot of results that you'd expect for that pair of words and that can be kinda frustrating.
