Hi,
[From a conversation last night]
"So really, I bet Oscar the Grouch is funding a massive push to prevent greenhouse gas legislation from passing. He is a Grouch after all, a more trashy, polluted planet suits him just fine."
"Yeah, but rising sea levels will put Sesame street under 20 meters of water by 2050."
"Ah, but Oscar's can has a huge subterranean component. Even now, he's busy making it into a water-tight fortress. He's even building a trashmarine so he can rove around a sunken New York and enjoy the trash."
"A trashmarine?"
"Yeah, a submarine made of trash. He's got it all figured out. He's just like that James Bond villain with the undersea base in The Spy Who Loved Me."
"The one with Jaws in it?"
"Yeah. Oh! Yeah! So Oscar is the the bad guy and Bruno, the trashman who carries him around is Jaws. And then it's all: 'The name is Frog, Kermit Frog'."
I suppose "Bird, Big Bird" would work too, but BB isn't quite right...
Tom
p.s. Children's Television Workshop and the Jim Henson Company are both really glad I don't have a lot of money.
