It's all in the cards
Mar. 26th, 2012 09:22 pmHey,
So for a number of years, when I went to Arisia, I'd always check out the artist's exhibit. There was one guy who'd done a number of pieces which were all tarot cards -- mostly the Major Arcana but also a number of cards from the suit of swords. The artwork was really gorgeous and I always hoped that the artist would complete the set and make them available as a deck (or even have the whole set available as prints to frame and hang).
The artist's name is Robert Scott and he launched a Kickstarter project to complete the deck and make it available to backers and the general public. I'd really like to see this project launch, but his funding goal is pretty ambitious (basically, he wants to knock off for six months and work full-time on the completion of the deck). So I'm talking it up here.
If you remember seeing his work at Arisia and liked it, please consider becoming a backer. If you've never seen his stuff before, the kickstarter has a link to his website where you can see everything he's done so far. Like I say, it's really interesting and worth a look.
