[URGENT] Lend me some tech?
Nov. 13th, 2010 12:42 pmHi,
[ETA -- I'm set, thanks!]
I had a really good interview on Friday. The final part of the job interview is a homework assignment -- a small "hello world" style object I have to build. The problem is that it requires some Microsoft development tools and I don't have a PC. That's not entirely true, I'm sure Annie would let me use her IBM Thinkpad, but since it only runs Win95 and has dodgy booting issues...that's no good.
Here's what I'm ideally looking for:
A fairly beefy laptop that's set up as a development machine. If it has Windows server 2008, Visual Studio 2010 and Sharepoint 2010 that's great. I'll have to download and set up evaluation copies on the machine if it doesn't have those things and I'll be sure to wipe them when I'm finished. At the very worst, I'd expect to be done with this by Wednesday (it's really more of a test around jumping into unfamiliar technology), but I'm really hoping it'll only take a few hours and I can turn it around within 24 hours of picking it up from you.
Laptops are portable, but if you have a desktop you can loan, I'd go for that too.
Thanks in advance for any help
Tom
