Hi,

So the Huntington Theatre is putting on a show called The Miracle at Maples. It's about a Commedia Dell'Arte troupe. I'm all about the Commedia so I wanted to see this show.

This morning a woman on an email list I frequent announced she had a couple tickets for cheap when two of her party dropped out. So I'm going to see a play tonight.

I believe she still has one ticket left so if you'd like to join me, let me know ASAP and I can see about hooking you up.

Remember: It's TONIGHT (Wed. 4/8/09) so if you're free tonight, that's the catch.

Hey,

So you may have heard that WotC has stopped selling PDFs of their D&D material and they've launched lawsuits to crack down on "pirates".

So...yeah, that's stupid.

But today I realized that when they stopped selling PDFs, they stopped selling *all* their D&D PDF material -- including the PDFs of all the 1st/2nd edition D&D material and the base box stuff. Basically everything that's out of print.

Crap. I'm glad I picked those PDFs up when I did. Because there's no outlet for that kind of stuff anymore -- short of scrounging around on eBay and buying old copies. The PDFs were always good, clean scans and I could store them on a CD so they didn't take up space but were always there. Now? Crud.

D&D -- cutting off its nose to spite its face for over three corporate owners.
