Quikie Comics Review
Oct. 15th, 2007 08:58 amHi,
Picked up two new comic book titles from Dark Horse yesterday. They're pretty good:
The first, Living with the Dead is about two guys trying to survive in the big city after the zombie-pocalypse. OK, so that's pretty unoriginal. The thing is, these guys survive by wearing paper zombie masks when they venture outside and it works. Zombie survivor comedy is something I don't think I've seen yet and the premise should hold for 3 issues so...yay.
The Umbrella Academy is like B.P.R.D., Nextwave and a dash of X-men all swirled together. In the first issue, the kids stop an insane, rampaging Eiffel Tower. That should pretty much determine how badly you need this book. For me? That's a heroin level of desperate need.
later
Tom
p.s. Y'know...there are other things in my life besides reviewing things. I should write about that stuff sometime.
