I Feel Fantastic
Sep. 28th, 2006 04:09 pmWell...actually, I mostly feel exhausted.
My workday yesterday was very long and punctuated by frustration at the start and a aggrivation at the end. So I didn't get a nap. I also stayed up very late. This morning, I had to go to the dentist to get a filling replaced. Today itself has actually been pretty successful, but man, do I feel like a zombie.
But I'm still pretty happy -- because the reason I stayed up so late last night was to attend Jonathan Coulton's very first concert in Boston. "Concert" is a strong word, but man...it was so much fun to see him live. He played through a wide range of his songs in the hour-and-a-half he was on-stage. The crowd was small, but lively and I ran into a number of people I knew and vaguely knew -- but much geekiness all around.
The best part was after he finished playing "Skullcrusher Mountain" and said, "Y'know, I'm up here playing this song and I see these couples who look lovingly into each other's eyes when I play it -- that's kinda creepy". And he was pretty much talking about me and
asciikitty.

p.s. Also, Jonathan will be playing at Johnny D's on Dec. 12th. He will be appearing with Paul and Storm, formerly of Da Vinci's Notebook. Should be a great show.
