So, my mom is a pretty laid back kind of person.

(Pause for "laid back mom" jokes)

Anyway, she hopes I'm happy and doing well, but she doesn't harsh on it.

Until last night...sorta.

"So are you serious about this one? Is this going to be it?"

"Well...it's only been two months, it's a little early to say."

"Oh that's more than enough time."

Now, my mom had a relatively short courtship and she's been married for over 30 years now so her view is a bit slanted. But there was a definate "when the heck are you getting married" subtext here which has never cropped up before. I'll be curious to see how that does (or doesn't) develop.

Although if you're currently dating me (or want to) and you want to go to San Francisco and freak out my parents in the very near future...uh...actually nevermind, the SF trip is all business so they won't appreciate additional stressors. But, under other circumstances...
