I've read a bit of Williams. Voice of the Whirlwind was okay. But I was absolutely blow away by Days of Atonement when I read it. And then when I read Aristoi, I was even more blown away. Absolutely "holy freakin' crap" reeling from it. Subsequently I read Metropolitan. And I liked it enough. But if you haven't read Aristoi, you've really missed his most impressive book.
