Hey,

Right now, in the house across the street from me, someone is shoveling off their stoop and walkway.

Apparently I live across the street from the Sisyphus's.

Good luck
Tom

Yeah, me too. It seemed like a futile gesture, but maybe they really like shoveling and want to do it a whole lot?

Y'know, I'm willing to get exercise in as many ways as possible... I'd perhaps be one of those people. Also, it might make it easier to do it again later.

However, I like the moniker.

As a fellow Sisyphus, my reason is: better a few inches at a time than 2' all at once. Takes less time each go, and you don't die of ache and tired in the middle.

Speaking of, it's nearly time for round 2. I may or may not get to round 3 tonight. We'll see.

This. I'd rather displace 3-4" of snow 5 times than try and displace 15 inches of snow at once.

Precisely. Round 2 took 15 minutes to clear about 1 1/4" over 25' of sidewalk. If I do round 3 before bed, and do round 4 first thing in the morning, the final clearout near noon should be a piece of cake.

Yep. Maybe if you're young and/or strong, you can shovel 2 feet of snow in one go. Those of us over 50 like to deal with ~3 inches at a time. ;)
