I got a package! Day 1

Hey,
I got a package from my mom with smaller packages inside here are the rules.
OK, so Day 1, I open the package and find:
The Item:

Um...ok, this is a ceramic rooster. He's wearing a bathrobe and is clearly up early getting ready for his big crow or something. He's got a washtub and a toothbrush and could stand to have some coffee.
So now I'll open today's envelope...
The Message:
"Good Morning, Good Morning, Good Morning!"
Ah, right. So first off, this has nothing to do with the "chicken head" story...which I'm kinda grateful for. What it's all about will be hard to convey to other people because you can't hear me sing it (but ask next time you see me).
So my mom had this song she used to sing every morning. Thanks to Google I know that the full lyrics are something like this:
Good morning! Good morning! Good morning!
It’s time to rise and shine!
Good morning! Good morning! Good morning!
We hope you’re feeling fine!
Time to wake up sleepy head!
Time to get up out of bed!
Good morning! Good morning! Good morning!
It’s time to rise and shine!
At least, that's the summer camp version, there's a longer version of the song that appeared on a record called "Bullfrogs and Butterflies" -- a collection of Christian children's music. I'm pretty sure that's where she picked it up but, as people do, she only really remembered the first couple of lines of the song not the whole thing so after "feeling fine" it's back up to the top.
So she'd come tromping into my room singing this song and there's really only so much chipper a kid can stand in the morning when he just wants to sleep in.
And believe me, this song is super-chipper.
Anyway, I'm sure the fact that I sing silly songs to people I care about has something to do with all of this.
