bluegargantuaOcean's 11? The original? With Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack?
It's not a very good movie.
It's not an awful movie it's just...really? really? And then the ending...it's just not very satisfying.
Any time there's a hint of complication the movie veers hard to defang the tension. There are pretty much no women in the movie and saying they're token is an insult to tokens everywhere.
Also? If the movie was shot on location, casinos at this time looked more like VFW halls than glamorous gambling parlors.
The movie gets much better when:
1.) You pretend that Sid Cesar is actually the Joker in disguise.
2.) You pretend that Sammy Davis Jr. is actually a Black Panther radical who's only hanging out with these crackers in order to get the money to fund the overthrow of white oppression.
