Well...that was pleasant
Oct. 19th, 2011 01:44 pmHi,
So, dress rehearsal last night. I've got to get into make-up. I'm playing a very ancient man this time around so there's lots of makeup. As part of this, they need to put whitener in my goatee so I look old. All right, fine.
The make-up lady starts to put it on and I think "man, this stuff really stinks!"
And then she says "Wow, this really smells weird."
And then she looks at the bottle again.
Turns out, it's not hair-whitener.
It's liquid latex.
Yeah.
But I do remember that latex will break down in the presence of oil based lubricants. So when I get home I find some old peanut oil and proceed to smear it all over the goatee in order to peel/comb it out. This works, but it's not an experience I can recommend.
Anyway, there will be more caution around this tonight. And hey! Our show opens tonight at the Regent in Arlington! It's going to be awesome so come out and see us!
later
