I got the first Johannes Cabal book from the library, based on your recommendation, and I loved it. I was expecting standard paranormal stuffola, but it was so much wittier and cleverer and better written than I expected! We have so many books that we try not to buy that many anymore, since we don't really have room for them, but the author and the publisher deserve the "yes, this is good" reinforcement of an actual sale, so I'll be buying this one.
