Sunday Drivers

Hey,

So I'll start off by saying that I'm fine. Nothing's wrong and no one was hurt.

And now I'll tell you about my car accident.

I was driving home from the grocery store on a nice stretch of back country road between Hudson and Stow. The guy in front of me suddenly put on the brakes and stopped short. So I hit the brakes and stopped short. Then the guy behind me plowed into me and sandwiched my car.

Everyone was fine, but my car got towed away. Now I've got paperwork to fill out and we'll see what my insurance says. On the one hand, I've been ruminating about getting a new car. On the other hand, I'd like to be able to buy a car because I want to and not because I need to.

But mostly I'm grateful that I feel wildly inconvenienced about all of this rather than being back in the hospital.

And now, I'm buying myself lunch.

Sorry to hear about your sad crunched car. :( I hope you get a good check from from the insurance company.

PS - Don't buy a Fiat. I hear they're not so great for Toms. ;)

So glad you’re OK! You’re the second person I’ve heard of having that happen to them (stop for car ahead, get hit from behind and driven into car ahead) in a couple weeks. It’s enough to make me want to put a six-foot-long paper-mâché extension on the back of my car
