This is coming out in France next month. I hope it makes it to the US:

The premise? A cat eats a parrot, gains the power to speak and asks its owner (a Rabbi) if it can convert to Judaism.

Yep - it's surprisingly popular in the US, and even among younger readers. Makes me happy.

I'm glad to see they're definitely keeping the original artist's style.

That looks entirely awesome! I had no idea there was such a graphic novel, and the movie looks really cool. I will point this out to my dad in particular, who is a Francophone, and who might really enjoy this, even though it's a "cartoon."
