Sparrow Hill Road is the answer

Hi,

So this author has a collection of stories on-line. They're all about this girl who was killed on her way to prom and she becomes a ghost (and quickly becomes an urban legend -- "vanishing hitchiker" type). She only exists on highways and she can only be solid when she borrows something from someone. So she's always borrowing clothes and food and stuff. The intersection between reality and the weird is described as "twilight" or "gloom" I believe. In the series of stories she gets into a couple of scrapes and then consults with the oracle of the Atlantic highway and then encounters the thing that made her a ghost.

It was a pretty good set of stories, and I don't seem to have marked it down anywhere. If anyone knows what I'm blabbing about (and I think I spotted it on my friends list or told some of you about it), then throw me a bone? Thanks.

later
Tom

Yeah, you're talking about Seanan McGuire's Sparrow Hill Road. She also wrote Feed as Mira Grant.

Interesting. Thanks for the pseudo-req. I've read her "October Daye" urban fae fantasy series so far. This sounds intriguing.
