Those darn apostrophes

There's a huge sign on the side of this sports bar by the side of the road.

What is wants to say:

"Come in and check out our 8' HDTV!"

What it actually says:

"Come in and check out our 8'' HDTV!"

Y'know, 15 years ago that might have been a draw but time and technology (and screen size) have marched on.
