Prop 8

Hey,

So, I'm curious. Given that California seems to have a sort of "hey, just make up a ballot question and we'll put it up for a vote", could pro-marriage people come up with a proposition for the next election that says "actually, prop 8 was stupid and we're reversing it"? And if they can do that, how long does that football go back and forth?

later
Tom

MA's constitutional amendments are not subject to reversal for some time. CA may be similar.

FWIW, various sources are reporting that there are nearly 3 million absentee and provisional ballots yet to be counted in California.

With 95% of the precincts reporting, Prop 8 is ahead by a bit over 400,000 votes.
