Hey,

So Grand Theft Auto 4. I got a copy. It didn't crash so hey that's good.

I haven't played too much of it yet, but one of the best things so far is that in my starting flophouse there's a tv set. And you can turn it on and watch faux TV, just like when you're in the car listening to the faux radio stations.

The TV shows are sharply satirical and a lot of fun, but I was struck with the irony of playing a video game where I was simulating the experience of watching TV. If there was only a console on which I could play GTA3, it'd pretty much be the pinnacle.

So far I've only killed 4-5 guys and had a date where we went bowling. I also bought a snazzy Russian Army fur hat.

In Day of the Tentacle you could play Maniac Mansion on a computer. I always thought that was pretty awesome.

The kids' channel you can get on the TVs in The Sims 2 has what looks like it'd be a terrific giant robot show if the game's timescale didn't compress a half-hour show into a minute. :)
