Hi,
Aided by my recent reading (see previous post), I am reminded that I'd really like to do a game of French espionage during the Cold War or post-Cold War. Almost certainly I'd use GUMSHOE...actually I might use SPIONE (although I'm sure that by not setting it during Cold War Berlin I've utterly compromised the integrity of the game and, at best, it'll be badwrongfun).
The French are great because they'll spy on everyone and just as often for technical or economic reasons as for military or political ones.
