Hey,
So work.
Work has been challenging.
In several different ways. Not all of them good.
However, it's shifting to the good way.
I'm learning a lot. Very quickly. I'm being much more productive.
Some of the stuff is useful, like advanced XSL transformations.
Some of the stuff is downright insipid, like julian date conversions (here, take a perfectly good date, run it through this insane forumla and get a five digit number. then jump through a zillion mathematical hoops to get the date back so you can use it).
But I'm learning lots of stuff and I'm making serious progress.
Next up: Javascript
(See, ASP is pretty casual and lets you use VBScript or Javascript, or both at the same time. But as a fine Microsoft product, it really pushes the VBScript. And as a programmer, I've generally used the VBScript because that's what I was asked to use and it made sense. You *can* do the whole thing up in Javascript, but I never have...but I'm about to...and in a big way)
So, yeah, work. I'm digging it.
Tom
