I'm right there with ya! Spent the night elsewhere snuggling. Came home to find the basement about a 1/2" under water. The basement is where my work room is! There is a dry well that backs up into the house when the ground is frozen, and 2 sump pumps that were not functioning last night. Reason, unknown. Got the sump pumps working (nothing like sticking your arm, elbow deep in COLD water!) then cleaned the dirt out of the shop vac. And sucked up about 6 vacs of water. The rugs are still all wet. And there's still some standing water. But, I'm done for now. Fans are set up, and I'll check the pumps regularly today.
Oh! And I had plans to get that sofa slipcover done today. NOPE! Not gonna happen!
