The Fantastic Mr. Fox

Hi,

So The Fantastic Mr. Fox is a pretty darn good movie. It's not Pixar, it's not Aardman, but it's really kind of great in its own way.

Wes Anderson films are fun, but I always feel like the dialogue and some of the character quirks aren't quite believable. They just don't seem like something a real person would do/say. But letting Anderson adapt a Dahl book and do up a stop-motion, anthropomorphic animal show about a chicken-stealing fox and his family problems actually works out really, really well. Things that would just seem odd in real life seem perfectly plausible in animation and the result is that the quirky is fun and never jarring.

So it's a fun little film and if you're looking for some charming fare it's certainly worth checking out. Also, the soundtrack seems pretty neat and I'm keen on picking it up.
