I understand your pain. I only owe $500 bucks left on my car and I'm awaiting the appraiser to come out and tell me what bad things are going to happen next. I will be annoyed if they total my car.

I know. But it's still very frustrating. As has been mentioned elsewhere, I've never sold off a car or had it die of old age on me. It's a real financial pain.

What I mean to say is you need a car that is still *usable* after you wreck it. It's great that you walk away, but you need durability in a car.

*sigh* see, this is the deal.

If I could, I'd lease a car. Just playing the averages, I'll probably total it before I run out of car. On the other hand, I do a lot of driving so if I did manage to bring it back, I'd be charged through the nose on the excess milage. I mean...a hell of a lot.

BTW -- I've got something of yours I need to return tonight. If you aren't home early for the potluck, be sure and check your mailbox.
