I like Peaseblossom's name for the con.
Basements of churches and church halls have what you need as far as meeting space and kitchen space. These spaces are usually for rent.
Make sure those kitchen suite hotels have a real oven and a real stove though! Also check on those suite rental prices, could be steep.
