Catching Up

Hey,

So...I'm not sure how this happened exactly, but I never got around to seeing Pixar's Up when it was in theatres, and then never really managed to see it after that. I don't know why.

So I saw it tonight. Yes, the first 10 minutes were a tear-jerker. No, it probably isn't the greatest of Pixar's films. But it was still a Pixar film and that means it was streets ahead of most flicks. Also, there were balloon-lofted houses and zeppelins which pretty much excuses whatever shortcomings it had.

So yeah, I'm glad I finally saw it.

Movie memo to self...

Hi,

So Wes Anderson films are sometimes awesome, sometimes irritating, often both at the same time. I think his best work was Fantastic Mr. Fox, because stop-motion animation seemed to really compliment his style.

Anyway, he's got a new movie called Moonrise Kingdom coming out and even if the movie is no good, the trailer is kinda awesome:

No word on actual release date, but I do want to catch this in theatres.
