I may need to wash *four* times to get the geek off me.
Did you know that Avalon Hill published "The Witchcraft Kit" and the "Black Rituals Kit"? In those bookcase game formats that all their games came in?
Yeah, well they did.
No, I don't even want to know what it costs these days. Besides, it's Avalon Hill the rules for casting a circle are probably only a little more complicated than filling out a 1040.

p.s. Everyone who wanted an Order of the Stick book can cheer -- I got them one. No sketch (I got like four copies and the line for the books was around the block and Rich was already starting to tire), but they're all signed.

Date: 2005-08-18 06:44 pm (UTC). . . If you hover the mouse over the first image (assuming you're using IE or similar), the alt-text is correct. If you hover over the second, it just says "asciikitty's". So, it's good form to use the quotes.

Date: 2005-08-19 04:30 pm (UTC)True story: my father worked at Bell Labs during most of my growing-up years. When his cow orkers would get a new AH or SPI game they couldn't figure out they'd give it to dad who'd bring it home to me so I could read the rules and explain it to them. (Then I'd pester dad to buy me a copy, which I always played solo because nobody else around wanted to play the uber-geeky stuff.)
Wash that geek off and all you'll find underneath is more geek.
More true story: I have a button that says "SPI died for your sins." I wore it to cons and most people didn't get it, or didn't make clear that they did. One person did, which is how I met Greg Costikyan.
