Flash Point has the same basic game engine as Pandemic, but you're fighting a burning house so the thematic correlation might work better for you. We have it here (next door) and Wil Wheaton is covering it this season.

I got to try Seven Wonders: Duel this past week, and it's a very good two-player version, will probably be picking up a copy.
